Self-laying of a warm electric floor

Installation is carried out according to the following instructions:

• Since such a coating is laid only on a flat surface, the base is first aligned.
• Then, the floor area that you plan to cover with a film is calculated, with the exception of those places where heavy furniture is located. At the same stage, the location for installing the thermostat is determined. It is better to make a scheme of the future gender in advance.
• Now you can proceed with the installation of the roll heat-reflecting film. It is cut into strips of the right size, then laid on the floor surface. In order to avoid displacement of the strips of this film, they should be fastened together with adhesive tape.
• After - the infrared film is laid, which is also previously cut into long strips, and they are located down the copper side. The bands are connected by adhesive tape.
• The next step is to connect the terminals. They are installed directly on the copper strip so that one side is located inside, and the second is outside the film. Then the terminals are clamped securely with pliers.

Important! All places of cuts and contacts are insulated with bitumen insulation through two pieces.

• Next, the temperature controller is mounted. The temperature sensor is located on the black strip of the thermal film. To prevent it being visible on the surface, you need to make a cutout in the reflective film in advance. Such cutouts are made under contact clamps and wires. This allows you to make the laminate coating as even as possible. On top of the location of the wires are sealed with tape.
• The thermostat panel is installed on an already prepared place, wires are connected to it according to the scheme. Using a separate machine, the thermostat is connected to the mains.
• It remains to test the system, setting the temperature at 30 degrees. As soon as the functioning of all elements is checked, the laminate is laid on an electric heated floor.
