However, the fight against mold will give a long-term result only if the favorable conditions for the reproduction of the fungus are eliminated.

Consider the simplest, affordable, but effective method of control - wall treatment with copper sulfate.

Important! This low-cost chemical is available at construction and gardening stores.It is produced in dry form in the form of blue granules. To prepare the solution, you must use a certain proportion.

How to breed copper sulfate from mold?

It is necessary to dilute the blue powder of copper sulfate (copper sulfate) in warm water in the following proportions: 100 g of granular powder per 10 l of water.

For better performance, add copper and other available reagents to sulfate using the following recipe: for 10 l of water, 200 g of vitriol and 1 tbsp. vinegar.

Important! Vinegar can be replaced with any chlorine-based household chemical product. In this combination, copper sulfate against mold will destroy all fungi and become a reliable barrier to their appearance in the near future.

Precautionary measures

Copper sulfate carries a danger not only to mold, but also to the human body. Therefore, to protect yourself from negative consequences, adhere to the following rules:

• All work with the solution should be done only with rubber gloves.
• Use a mask and glasses to protect your eyes and face.
• To avoid skin allergic reactions, treat in protective clothing that covers the entire body.

• At the end of work, carefully ventilate the room.

How to apply copper sulfate from mold on the walls?

In rooms with high humidity, it is necessary to process the walls of the fungus at the stage of internal work. To do this, in the process of wall decoration, it is necessary to add a small amount of antifungal agent to the solution.

If mold spots have already appeared, then the first thing to do is to clean the infected areas. For this:

1. Remove wallpaper, paint or other damaged decor from damaged sections of the walls.
2. Use a putty knife or spatula to remove affected plaster and putty from the walls.

Important! If the mold has penetrated too deeply, remove all layers of finish, right down to the concrete slab or brick.

3. Treat the cleaned surface with sandpaper to get rid of invisible lesions.
4. Using a brush, roller or spray, treat the cleaned area with copper sulfate solution.
5. Allow the surface to dry completely.
6. Repeat the treatment with copper sulfate.

Important! You can repeat the procedure up to 5 times.

7. After the last treatment, allow the treated area to dry thoroughly.
8. Apply the finish to the treated surface:
   • Stucco.
   • Paint.
   • Lime.
   • Wallpaper.

Important! At the last stage, to the material used, add vitriol in the same proportions or an antiseptic of various manufacturers.

Preventive measures

In order for the fungus not to bother you anymore, observe the following preventative measures:

• Keep your house clean. Mold pores, sticking to dust, spread throughout the dwelling, so where it is clean, mold rarely appears.
• Ventilate all rooms regularly.
• Check the ventilation system regularly and repair if necessary.
• When installing furniture near walls, leave a slight clearance for air to pass through.
• Eliminate leaks from plumbing utilities and roofing as quickly as possible.
• Do not get carried away breeding indoor plants, which can cause high humidity.
