How to make a bed in the closet with your own hands?

After you have developed and built the drawings, you can begin to manufacture the product itself. First you need to make and strengthen the cabinet itself. In addition to the standard set of tools, you will also need a sheet of chipboard, furniture screws and a bar measuring 5x5 centimeters.

The course of work consists of the following actions:

• Cut 2 plates with dimensions of 45x180 centimeters and 113x45 centimeters, as well as 1 plate with dimensions of 113x80 centimeters. Long and narrow will be on the top and bottom, on the sides - narrow short. The latter will serve as the back wall.
• Using furniture screws, glue all the boards together. To do this, pre-make holes in them with a drill of a smaller diameter, then screw the screws into them.

Important! The step between the mounts should be 25 centimeters. You can bring it up to 35 centimeters, only in this case the finished product will be much weaker.

• At the inner corners, put a small beam and fix it in a checkerboard pattern. This must be done very carefully so as not to pierce through the body.

Once the base of the cabinet is ready, you can begin to manufacture the body of the bed. For this process, you will need the following materials:

• A beam measuring 5x5 centimeters;
• Furniture screws;
• Edged board;
• Clamps for a mattress pad;
• Hinges with idling.

Important! After you have measured the inner perimeter of the future product, you need to take 2 centimeters from each side of it. This is due to the fact that if the tree is fixed quite poorly, this will lead to the immobility of the structure.

The procedure consists of the following steps:

• Cut 4 shields 15 centimeters wide.

Important! Pay attention to the fact that from below the shield should cover absolutely the entire surface.

• Fasten the shields together with furniture screws. Joints need to be done with a distance of 25-30 centimeters from each other.
• Along the perimeter from the inside, screw the beam at a height of 3 centimeters from the lower side. The frequency of the joints should be with a distance of 40 centimeters.

At the end of these works, you can safely proceed to the manufacture of a mattress pad. There are two ways to do this:

• For a mattress pad with a step width of 30 centimeters, a trim board is screwed to the body. Thus, the design as a result is of high quality and easy to use.

Important! The disadvantage of this option is cumbersome, which can cause difficulties.

• Another rectangle identical to the finished one is made of timber, only at the same time it is not fixed to the frame. After that, an edged board is attached to it. Such a mattress pad can be easily removed and can be carried. The only drawback is the price, since it is an order of magnitude higher than the previous version.

Important! Due to the fact that the bed will rise, the mattress pad must have additional clips.

Now the finished bed can be fixed to the cabinet at two points. Fasten the movable legs and close the base so that the mattress pad is not visible. That's all, the do-it-yourself wardrobe bed is ready!
